The Notice of Race and the Technical Regulations are ready and with these documents the enrolment of the DONG Energy Solar Challenge 2014 is open! From 28 June until 5 July 2014 solar boats in four classes are competing in the world cup for solar powered boats.
New in this fifth edition of the race is the route. Instead of the traditional Eleven cities ice skating route, the participants will sail in five stages from Groningen to Drachten, Sneek, Harlingen and finish in Leeuwarden.
New is also the sprinting competition with a spectacular mass start at 2 July in sneek. Also the V20-class with a new category of solar powered boats is added to the race.
