Route adjustment brings race through Leeuwarden

Leeuwarden  is not only the start and finish point of the Frisian Solar Challenge, on Friday the race will also go across the city center. The route on that day is different compared to the previous editions in 2006 and 2008. This due to work on bridges and sluice gates  in northern Friesland. In previous editions the solar boats navigated through the so-called ‘ hell of the north’.  Because of the adjustment the kluning element has been cancelled.
