Possible Eleven Cities Tour on ice-skates

It is hard to imagine that in a few months the Eleven Cities route will be sailed by more than 35 Solar boats, while currently everyone in Friesland is talking about a possible tour on skates! When it keeps freezing, the famous tour on ice may come.

The fact that the Eleven City route is covered with ice is a good perspective for the Solar Challange. A dutch proverb says: ‘When February iscold and bleak, the summer will be long and warm’. A warm summer means a lot of sun, and that’s what we need.

Currently half of all the teams are busy with the second step and the designs are in progress. In that way ‘our’ Eleven Cities tour is getting closer.

Let’s hope for a lot of sun in July, but firstly a few nights of frost! Because let’s be honest, everyone hopes for a Eleven City Tour on ice-skates!
