7 July: Day off for the participants

After the tough stage of yesterday, the participants are having a day off in Bolsward today. The participants are not going to be on the water, but will be busy with working on their boat, charging the accu’s in the sun and preparing for the race of Thursday. Tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock the participants start with new courage in Bolsward and are heading to Franeker over a lenght of 37 kilometres.

Today, at the Energy Valley Solarday, pupils of the primary and secondary schools are taking action today. With their homemade mini solar boats they are batteling against each other in an inflatable swiming-pool. A jury of experts is judging the solar boats at 14.00 o’clock. Besides that, Wubbo Ockels is giving an inspiring lecture. This will be at 14.00 o’clock at Soccer club RES at the Bolwerkplein 4 in Bolsward.
